NFT Fee & Net Proceeds Calculator

Last updated: October 2026.

When an NFT sells, you don’t receive the sale price — the marketplace may deduct a fee, the collection’s creator royalty may apply, and blockchain transaction costs can come out along the way. Enter your numbers below to see an estimate of what a sale would leave you with.

This calculator runs entirely in your browser using figures you type in — it doesn’t fetch live fee schedules, and nothing is stored or sent anywhere. Every marketplace sets its own fees and royalty rules, which change over time, so check your marketplace’s current fee schedule before relying on any number here. Treat the result as an illustration of how the maths works, not a quote.

Type in your sale price and the deductions your marketplace describes. The breakdown updates as you type.
Sale price Use one currency throughout — dollars, ETH, whatever the listing is priced in.
Marketplace fee Found in the marketplace’s fee schedule — commonly a percentage of the sale.
Creator royalty Royalty treatment varies by collection and marketplace — some sales have none. Leave blank or 0 if unsure.
Transaction costs Blockchain or processing costs the sale workflow charges you — listing, accepting, or transferring.

An illustrative example#

Say a sale closes at 100, your marketplace charges a 2.5% fee, the collection carries a 5% creator royalty, and the transaction costs 3. You’d receive 100 − 2.50 − 5.00 − 3 = 89.50. These figures are made-up round numbers, not any marketplace’s current rates — your actual deductions depend on where and how you sell.

What this can’t tell you#

The calculator only does the arithmetic on numbers you supply. It doesn’t know your marketplace’s real fee schedule, whether the collection’s royalty is enforced on that marketplace, or what a transaction will cost on your chosen chain at that moment. For the fees themselves, see NFT Fees Explained. For setting the listing price in the first place, see How to Price an NFT to Sell, and for the money side after a sale, How to Cash Out NFT Proceeds to AUD. If a listing isn’t working, How to Cancel an NFT Listing covers that too. Tax treatment is a separate question — see NFT Tax in Australia for a neutral overview.
